Filming filming filming. Me and my friends have been very busy filming videos the last two weeks. We had a business meeting and had 2 weeks extra set aside to film. We found some great stories so I hope that our use of the 5 shot system and what we have learned about storytelling is improving. I am learning how easy it really is to network. Everywhere we went when we told people we were filiming they were very interested and were open to being filmed. We only encountered a few nos.  We did film

I'm really bummed out right now. I was going to attend the video bootcamp in New York this weekend but due to a last minute issue this week I could not go. :( :( :( I am going to go to the London gathering in February instead. I was very excited to go, to learn, to practice, to meet michael and lisa and the idea of having to wait another month is unbearable-haha. I'm on fire with launching my video business/company. To deal with it, I filmed more videos this week and will edit them this weekend

It's amazing how much character driven stories are what people gravitate to. I have been watching lots of movies lately and I now see flaws in the script because the story is about CGI and big effects instead of answering the questions that drive the story. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to get done.  I watched the re-broadcast of the the 5 mistakes live lecture and had a good laugh. One of the videos I filmed suffered from exactly what Michael and Lisa said. I overshot the footage and then got stuck in the process of trying to trim the piece down. It didn't work, I lost the strong sense of telling the story. I started over getting

I'm in Colorado right now for Christmas and to do some skiing. The snow is not so great this year be we are making the best of it. Two of my film buddies came for the trip and we did some filming at 2 ski resorts, during a snowmobile tour, a worker in the ski shop and some travel type video of the area. We are getting more and more comfortable in shooting and finding stories and its starting to feel like a natural part of what we do. This is so exciting. We do have a lot of editing to catch up b
