I'm going to Lightworks now, just read about Tariq Anwar, editing of The King's Speech, he's been using Lightworks since his days at the BBC: http://bit.ly/l9aLAu

Apple is innovative without a doubt, but Steve Jobs answer to consumers that have an opinion is that old Ford saying, "...if you ask the customer what they want it would be a faster horse", meaning he doesn't really care what the customer wants because they're always wrong. When will companies let the cloud drive the direction?! Droid could be GREAT, but why no simple video editing, it would be easy to make an editing program better than iMovie. Google is YouTube for crying out loud, why aren't they leading in editing on SOME platform?

to say the least. I, for one, cannot understand why they didn't continue FCP7 while releasing this at the same time. It's a bit strange, but Apple is not infallible. I have several mac laptops that don't have firewire ports.
