NPPA Award WInner Michelle Michael's story about a man who works in a bowling alley.
We all spend a lot of our time searching for stories.
Here's a great piece by Michelle Michael and you'll notice that even though it's compelling as hell, there's no real
'story' here. What there is is a compelling character with a small personal story to tell.
And that's enough.
Michelle shoots it inexactly 'our' way. There are almost no camera moves.
The editing zips right along.
Really nice nat sound.
Personally, I don't like the exterior shots. I think they are unnecessary and detract from the story - you want to stay inside.
But take a look. It's a great piece.
