Our VJs At Work - Urban Athlete

Posted on November 28th, 2011 Written on michael's blog

Do you like this?

On track to win...

Francisco Aliwalas, as many of you know, is one of our online instructors.

He recently sent me a link to a piece he shot, produced and edited. (His wife worked with him as second camera).

He did this for Men's Health, a Rodale Press publication.

As you can see, it rocks.

As more and more magazines move to iPads and the web, they are going to need more and more video.  Screens demand video.

They don't have the in-house capacity to produce this themselves.

Francisco was hired by Men's Health to produce a package of 6 videos. This is one of them.

He and his wife have got a great business going producing just this kind of video.  But as you can see, it's all about what you put on the screen.

If you'd like to see more of his work, check out www.franfilm.com

"Just the Sony EX1R. I needed to have the audio otherwise I would have shot it on the 5D. I truly felt like a combat war photographer doing this shoot. Mud, sweat, blood (cut up my hand when I fell off the motorcycle). No pain...no pain." - Francisco

Yes. And so can you, in time. But first, stick to the discipline. :)

Nice work Francisco (as always). On a much smaller scale, I did a weekly 2 minute piece similar to this for a small theme park in the midwest. You can see it here. http://www.youtube.com/user/IndianaBeachTV
