There's a reason the Apple is the most valuable corporation in America
Many years ago I was invited to give a speech at the Cable Conference in Chicago.
On the heels of that speech, I got in invitation to visit a company CEO in Baltimore who was interested in my ideas.
That man was John Erickson, and he ran the biggest chain of retirement homes in the East.
He asked if I could teach his residents to shoot and edit video.
Why not?
The average age was probably 85+, so it was something of a challenge. I used to use FCP, but in this case I used iMovie. It turned out great. In fact, it turned out so well that Erickson went on to found RLTV, Retirement Living TV, which is now a cable channel in more than 50 million homes.
The beauty of iMovie was that it was incredibly simple to use but delivered a beautifully polished product. And for a lot of what the web needs, it's the perfect solution. We used the same software when we did our Filmmakers Cruise on Crystal Cruises last year from Cape Town to Mumbai.
Brilliant stuff.
Now, iMovie is available for the iPad2, and if you have an iPad2, I cannot make a stronger recommendation.
Fast. Simple, Elegant - like all Mac products.
We've uploaded our introductory instructional video to Youtube. Take a look.
We're also launching a new iMovie course, iMovie for iPad2 on nyvs.
Check it out.
I think you'll find that for many web video needs, the iPad2 iMovie combo is unbeatable.
