It's been quite the 8 days for Apple. with their release of Final Cut Pro-sumer X.
Never before has so much been written with so much passion concerning a software release.
There's been hate, biting commentary and parodies.
I think we were all somewhat disappointed and it hurt.
I've been using Apple since 1985. They are a great company that makes great stuff. No one can argue with their products. I'm even an Apple Certified Pro. I love the company and think Steve Jobs is a genius. I
FINAL CUT "PRO" X - PRO OR SCHMO?

I'll get to the point-
If your a professional editor as I am, it's my recommendation that do not buy FCP X at this time.
It's Day 3 of the FCP X release and I've been playing around on it.
Final Cut Pro X is a joke for professional editors in so many ways at the moment.
I feel sort of taken for a ride by Apple in this one. Apple had one chance to save a mass exodus to Adobe Premiere and dropped the ball.

BREAKING NEWS 6.21.11 - FINAL CUT PRO X was released earlier today.
I will update this post when I have a handle on the new output workflow.
So, you’ve done everything Michael and Lisa and the rest of the great instructors at NYVS have taught you and have made your epic video project.

I’ll be right up front with this - Michael Rosenblum taught me a lot in the world of video,
he’s the the Guru of Video Journalism in my book - but like any student, you grow up and disagree on some things.
We disagree in the use of tripods.
He against using them.
I use them.
Well, I need to clarify both those statements.
Michael feels tripods are not necessary, most of the time.
I feel they are a necessary evil, most of the time.
