December 19,2009 Check in.

Just checking in . preparing to return to my day job at Brookdale Community College( Lincroft NJ) Have spent the last 6 months off. Shooting pictures, learning and wondering about things. Did the Travel Academy course. Bought a couple  of ( for me at least) expensive pieces of equipment. and now have a pile of digital infromation to edit in my spare time. Video Journalism , as well as  digital photgraphy,,are now my hobbies. They keep me busy and contribute to my 'sanity."  At least that is the short term plan: edit, shoot some more, learn, improve.

 

The day job iconsists of managing an outdated educational TV studio at the college. its not too innovative. Consists mostly of producing snoozy talk shows and the like and. Been there nearly forever--since back when it was cool to do that and it was fun. Hope to leave it for other things in a year or so because i love stories and im running out of time and excuses for why I can't be at least trying to make them. Managment is a great excuse to hide behind--too busy --to FILL IN THE BLANK--actually make work?.

Hence the hobbies. More soon. (hey i piad my $100, I can indulge myself on the blog from time to time!  More soon , pix and videos to follow. Can we post photos here? Looks like there is an insert above. Lets try one now. Hmmm, not directly uploadable. I will have to work on this a bit. Peace out.
