As you may already know, Michael's upcoming book covers the exciting world of iPhone video and how much it empowers us to get out there and tell great stories. I for one, am totally onboard with this concept, and it's the reason that all of my videos made for this school were done with as little equipment as possible, sometimes with a Canon Powershot (Mexico Travel video), sometimes with a mini-camcorder about the size of my hand (Small kids with Big Dreams) and oftentimes with my iPhone (Art o

Will it be about a certain personality I happen to meet during my journey? To prepare, I wrote down specific shots I'd be looking for and questions I might ask along the way, a

As a newbie video journalist, it's tempting to pull out my camera and shoot everything in sight. To resist this temptation, I ask myself "What's the story you want to tell?" Answering that is easy when I'm shooting something instructional like how to make cookies, or how to get around in the city, but what do I shoot when taking a trip to some place exotic, like Bali or Cancun? Do I cover all of the restaurants we eat at? The many beach activities we do? The hotels we stay at?  All the different
