Ref Prosumer cameras - which one? Try a few is the best answer and see what you like. I went for the Sony HVR-Z1 - the same as he has in this intro (unless I'm mistaken) - fits all of my needs, is very versatile and great value these days (I picked mine up for £900.00 - c.$1,300USD)

This was a great course. I like Jeremy's style- does not assume the audience is stupid and at the same time- the right level of depth into each subject. Good selection of topics.

I am generally reluctant to recommend one camera over another. It's like cars and it has a lot to do with how much you want to spend, what you're going to use it for and so on. I also only like to talk about cameras I have used personally. From that perspective I give A+ to the Sony A1U and the JVC GY hm100U. Both work great - one tape, one card. Both about 2k
