Great! I got the idea of the jump cut. But seeing the Match Cut really brings it home, especially the way the guys hands end at his shoelaces in the video example. Look natural and full of action.

@loretatv...I totally know what you are talking about. I do the same thing. It all boils down to whether you can edit the cut between angles to seem natural, like they showed in the video. Now whether they used one or two cameras for this clip, I'm not sure, but take the time in practicing doing multiple camera angles of the same action, and then take more time in practicing editing the pieces together. And like Cullen said, it only ends up taking more time.

My opinion is that sometimes not having the clips match may be fine as is if you want to maybe put an emphasis on an action. Of course, this is all depending on the nature of the video. Otherwise, this was great advice! As far as cameras go, I also am going to have to agree with loretatv on this one. Until I find a second camera person, I'm just going to have to ask to repeat as well! :)
