great lecture indeed. So does this mean we should refrain using cross dissolves except when absolutely necessary? if so what can i do to make my videos transition smoothly

I also agree that this may be one of the more important videos in this series as well. Honestly, in my earlier works, I have definitely used transition after transition and effect after effect thinking that I was doing a great thing. However, as I started to take on more work, I started doing this less and less. I can definitely see the point of over doing it. Thinking about it, you don't see this kind of stuff on tv or in movies, so I guess Francisco has a point. :)
