Lashan hit the nail on the head when she said some younger people want to do what she does after two months. Although things may move fast in certain areas of this field in the future, we still have to be a student of all aspects of the industry if we want to do what she is doing. The breaks, or once in a lifetime opportunities come to those who have done their homework.

I think Lashan is just saying that you have to have something to show. The format is irrelevant. Show footage or a short sizzle reel of your footage (on Tape, DVD,Vimeo,YouTube,your iPad...whatever) instead of handing them a piece of paper. :)

REally?..Man... How About DVD ?.... I've tried it before and a tv network (KSBW Channel 08) say it's acceptable. All filmed, and All editing finished on a DVD...

and anyone with access to a camer and an editing deck can have tape...You have to love the fact that larger companies are in the same boat as the independents right now...this is an awesome time.
