Once again Francisco's course was good and helpful. But it has made me see that is a lot more to learn before I get a tapeless camera.

@krow the HDV and Dv streams that transfer over firewire are compressed. also the max image resolution for HDV over firewire is I believe 1440x1080 but it should still look pretty good. you could capture from HDMI if you needed the full HD resolution

im useing a tape but every time i record it comes out really good but wen i transfer it to my computer useing a fire wire the quality is dropped a lil why is that
