here's what to do: walk into your boss' office an start talking to him about something really important, but don't make eye contact - ever. Stare about 30 degrees off to his left. Be really urgent in what you have to say. Then ask him, 'how did that feel? That's exactly how you are making your viewers feel every night'. He'll get it.
