HI ALL,

I HAVE RECENTLY EDITED A VIDEO ON FINAL CUT PRO X. I MOVED THE FILES AND PROJECT TO AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE. I WENT BACK INTO THE PROJECT BUT GOT THE RED SCREEN WITH THE YELLOW AND BLACK EXCLAMATION POINT, MEANING MY MEDIA IS OFFLINE. I WENT BACK AND TRANSFERRED MY MEDIA BACK TO MY LAPTOP BUT WHEN I OPEN THE PROJECT/EVENTS IT STILL DOESNT SHOW :( HOW CAN I CORRECT THIS? I HOPE I DONT HAVE TO RE-EDIT. I DONT EVEN KNOW WHERE THERE IS A MENU TO SELECT WHERE I CAN GET TO MODIFY MY MEDIA. PLEASE HELP MY TIMELINE IS FULL OF OFFLINE MEDIA BUT I HAVE THE MEDIA BOTH ON MY EXTERNAL AND LAPTOP!

Your timing couldn't be any better. Apple has just released a free update for Final Cut Pro X (10.0.3) that includes some really great features including the ability to manually reconnect missing video files.I recommend that you install the free update and check out the Media Relink feature.
