I'll be producing (13) episodes of a fishing show to air in 2013. Not knowing what TV station or cable station that will air it, what HD video format is best to shoot in? There are several, AVCHD, HDV, DVCPROHD, etc.. Also, it appears most all HD channels are in 1080i. Not knowing the preferrred video delivery method, what is the most common?

I did a weekly TV show for a theme park in Indiana. The cable provider here is Comcast. They emailed me everything they needed (format, aspect ratio, etc.) My advise is to get ahold of your local cable company and ask them.

As long as you shoot in full HD (1080 x 1920), it doesn't matter because the final delivery format will be determined by your export settings. Sounds like a great project! Keep us posted.
