Is there any good programs for Blu Ray DVD authoring?  and do you know if printable Blu Ray DVDs exist or how does the industry print images onto their Blu Ray DVDs? I've been printing and authoring standard definition DVDs and been putting my HD Footage on it and it just looks terrible compared to the original quality so I'm looking in to Blu Ray. Thanks in advance!

For Macs, Roxio Toast 10 is a good stand-alone choice for Blu-Ray authoring. For PC's, Roxio Creator 2009 has a $20 Blu-Ray plug. Many editing suites also now include Blu-Ray authoring, such as Adobe Encore which is part of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5's editing suite (Mac and PC), and Sony Vegas Pro 9 (PC).

Inkjet and thermal printable Blu-Ray discs are available. Verbatim makes a good inkjet printable disc and TDK makes a good thermal printed one.
