Thread : Final Cut X - copying effects to multiple clips

Posted on Feb 04, 2012 at 12:20 pm
Hi,

I used to be able to do this in Final Cut 6, but I can't see how to do it now I've upgraded to X...

Let's say I've applied a colour adjustment to a clip on the timeline.  Rather than going to the next clip and doing the colour adjustment again, trying t get it exactly the same, is there I wasy I can copy the colour adjustment from the first clip and aply it to the second and all subsequent clips on the timeline?

Surely I don't have to save it as a preset each time?  If I did that I've have a new preset for every new project.

Any ideas on how to do this?

Thanks.

Russell.

Thanks for helping out - are we talking about the same version of FC? I'm using FC X, and the colour correction doesn't work in the way you mentioned here.

When I select more than one clip in the timeline the colour correct option isn't available. There's also no option to drag the colour correction onto another clip, as there was in previous versions. Or at least none that I can see.
