Overview

The Gettysburg Project aims to introduce visitors to popular songs from — or inspired by — the American Civil War. The site features one song, Gettysburg, that tells the fictional story of a young girl who lived in Gettysburg when the soldiers arrived.

We are seeking novice and experienced video makers to create a dramatic video to accompany the song, “Gettysburg” (download the song at our website). The final product, a music video, will be no more than 5 minutes in duration. (Read the full participation agreement including submission schedule.) If chosen, you will receive $500 in exchange for your video!

Submit a proposal. Simply tell us why we should choose you to make our video.
We will choose 2 or 3 video-makers based on the proposals we receive.
Each chosen video-maker will receive $500 for submitting a completed video.
The final product is a work-for-hire. We (sponsors) retain full legal ownership of the video.
