Michael examines the connection that an author like Phillip Roth or painter like Rothko can have on a reader or viewer. That same connection, while possible with video, isn't yet equated on the same lines of authorship, but the opportunity is there for the taking...
AMERICAN EXPERIENCE, the PBS television series and WGBH, and the PBS station in Boston are hosting a video contest entitled, "Stonewall Riots and Gay Rights in 2011." Michael and Cyndi Lauper will be the judges and submissions are open until February 14, 2011.
