Nice opening and closing! And wonderful job getting footage of the animals. Don’t cut away from interviews too quickly, like in the first 2 shots of Celia. Let interview subjects finish a complete line or thought before cutting away. Try not to repeat b-roll. The yawning dog is cute, but memorable. If you have to repeat the shot, scroll one way or the other so it isn’t the exact same thing. Also, the second yawning dog cuts in where the viewer would like to see “Jabs.” I was also wondering about the addition of the graphic that says ALSO cats need homes too. I felt like the piece covered both dogs and cats, so the term “also” didn’t make a lot of sense to me here. Overall, very nice work. I hope this video helps raise money for the cause!

Thanks jamesERIC. My package before this (on a tea shop) https://vimeo.com/38249171 had the main character to camera (as it was only my 2nd self shoot edit there is room for improvement in this production :) but i do prefer subjects to camera..even though I am being constantly told by others this is wrong! For my next one I will try and get more of the basic 5 shots in and subjects to camera. Helpful Not Helpful

Some great clips here (kitties and puppies make for good Talent). My single criticism involves the basic situation you have acknowledged, which is that this had to be a collaborative effort with a classmate whose views about how the assignment is best completed fundamentally differ from your own. I do strongly agree w your perspective and hope you'll post future projects here, ones where your vision isn't being distracted by a perhaps well meant but still distracting classmate's non-parallel philosophy.
