Hi Dutch, and contrats on being made Pick of the Week. It's a very well shot reel. As a sizzle reel, I think you would be better off allowing the nat sound to carry it instead of the music. After all, you have great access to some very exciting reality, so let the verite roll! The music track tends to denigrate and homogenize what you have put together here, weakening, I think, its impact. Let it go. Also, fewer events but more zap on the audio - pump up the nat sound of the chopper, hard cut to gunfire. Then, someone looking at this goes Holy S**t!, I gotta get this guy. The soundtrack is a bit oatmeal. Other than that, great potential.

Thanks Micheal, you are right (as almost always). I signed up last week and I really love your classes, I think 'the trick'' is to listen to them over and over again, until you can breath them, instead of watching them (I put them on my mp4 player so I can listen to them in the airplane, train, or when I take a walk). I recommend this site, it is way better than spending lots of money on an expensive film or video school. Also, I would be happy to give advice (when it comes to safety measures) to any member who plans to go to a high risk environment. Helpful Not Helpful

Hey Alyssa, thanks for the compliment. I am very interested in conflict areas and international security. My aim is always to find stories that are related to that topic, mostly I just have a suitcase and a camera packed in my room and travel to breaking news whenever I can and then try to sell it. Wow! What an impressive reel! What sort of work were you doing that allowed you to get so close to all of these events? Helpful Not Helpful

Almost every news agency demanded 4:3 until 2011. Most clients in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia are still broadcasting 4:3, many people there don't have a 16:9 tv. Helpful Not Helpful
