About this video

After watching the story telling basics... I head over to the local radio station where my friend runs his program.... started shooting.... trying to applied what I learned. Please give me feedback.... I shot on my DSLR camera... bought this royalty free music and edited as best as i could...after watching a couple of tutorials.... I will get better... just give me a few weeks... I know I can. I like your teaching style... to the point.... bang...bang... love it.

OK Jose, here's some feedback to help you with your video. Firstly let's talk about the shooting. You need to hold the camera really still when you're recording. If you look at the edges of the frame on some of these shots you'll see you have a tendency to "drift" with the camera when you're shooting. Secondly, you mention that you had just watched the storytelling basics video before you shot this but you don't tell me a story. Who is the guy, why am I watching him? You need to dip the music down and give me a narrative, "This is Bob, he's been hosting his own show at Radio bla bla" whatever it is, I need you to tell me about the character and give me a reason to keep watching. Maybe you should try redoing this one, forget the music and just use voice-over and a couple of short soundbites from the guy. Good luck!

Very dynamic. Good camera position. Covers well the 5 elements.

Good job. I think the raw ingredients are there, but the story doesnt seem strong enough. I get it's about him, but why do we want to watch him? what is his story arc? that would make your video more compelling. Also the lighting seemed a little dark, was that on purpose to support the story?

I liked the shoot, it was interesting. Did not like the closing scene of relections, was not as exciting as the film, Maybe could have used it to lead in to the film.
