About this video

Based on paradiso's advice to start strong (and go back and watch the storytelling lesson) I re-edited Let's Ride. Would love any input as I'm submitting this in a few weeks for the Sony contest.

Paper maps have copyrights as well. I've updated the video, Let's Ride Re-Edit Duex. No map though, and don't want to spend 50 bucks as that's the entry fee and it's present buying time. Thanks Kelly! Helpful Not Helpful

Hi TopAbbott, You should probably stay away from copyrighted stuff if you think it will have any kind of public showing, but istockphoto.com is a great resource for stock images, video and animations, and they are pretty reasonably priced (about $35 for a 10 seconds of HD footage for the web about triple that for broadcast)/ All rights are included in the purchase. Or shoot your own closeup of a map! Helpful Not Helpful

Kelly, Can I use an screen grab of google maps? It says it's copyright, so where do I get a map that I can use? Helpful Not Helpful

Great advice. I was re-watching Michael's Storytelling II and getting some more ideas. I agree on cutting the still, really doesn't work. 1:10 was a drag racing cycle, but it is confusing there so I'll cut that too. Factoids coming in next cut. Thanks! Helpful Not Helpful

pt 2 The 'factoids' could say how long the route is, or what the speed limit is or any other interesting facts about this particular 'ride'. You could also incorporate a map graphic that shows the route you are taking and where in the country it is (I know you say where, but it's nice to see it on a map as well). Great job. 1 : Helpful Not Helpful
