This is a really good watch Bradcox, nicely shot, well edited, music works well and it held my attention to the end which with online video isn't easy once you get past the two minute mark. You have a great character here but I want to know who he is and I want to see him right at the start on the beach with the kids. He has a great voice and is very good on camera. I think the biggest problem you have with this video is that it's all shot with the camera on a tripod. Sure you get rock steady shots but what you're lacking is a variety of shots and particularly the establishing wide shots which show the viewer where you are. The result is the piece feels claustrophobic. Using the tripod to get the shot of the pot boiling on the stove and then mixing through to when the dish is cooked works well but for some of the time you need to be hand-held or have a second camera if budget permits. Are you planning to make more cooking videos with this guy? I hope so.

Great piece, the actor is very interesting, but I had the feeling that this was a self-produced video, by the actor.....maybe it was because of the tripod use as Lisa mentioned. I didn't think about that while watching, but my first impression was that it was done by the chef himself. Helpful Not Helpful

Very nice video Brad. Looked like East Coast Australia? I get sand in my pippies! Top marks for the effort put into the vid. I thought you could have used a little more light on the face shots in the kitchen, you have naturally dark skin and tended to need a little more light on the face at the beginning of the cooking segment. Well done. 1 : Helpful Not Helpful
