I really like the idea of cutting back and forth between the party and the band but it doesn't quite work in the execution because the viewer doesn't know what's going on, in fact I had to watch the beginning of this twice to be sure. You need a clearer arc of story, you need to establish at the beginning that the story is about the band and that their job is to surprise people and play at their parties, then you have an arc of story and the viewer is waiting for the surprise. So you can cut back and forth between the party and the band and create some tension, the band has to get there on time, will they make it etc etc. It's really all in the storytelling and you need more information. Also the story is not helped by the constant fades to black between shots. Straight cuts would work much better.

Thank you for your comments, its amazing to have feedback for your videos and be able to express your ideas. I would add that the story itself is about the progression of the surprise and I would think that adding extra narration might subtract the viewer of having the experience of going through what the story is about...

I had problems knowing who the story was about, was it the mariachis or the girl and her party? If it was the mariachis, it would help to start with the narration first to establish the character. It could have also added to the story to get more close ups and details of the mariachi with interesting details. Some sound bites from the mariachis in the beginng too. Thanks! 1 :
