I spent the day watching Laura Edwards work on a new commissioned piece and talked to her about her roots, her work, and her unique style. Laura is an inspiring Abstract oil painter working out of a noisy studio in the historic Torpedo Factory in old town Alexandria Virgina.

Personally, I think it is disconcerting to have an interviewer who is not shown in the video. I'd recommend either including a shot or yourself in the video, or editing out the questions and just using the answers to create the story. I would also suggest showing your subject speaking on camera earlier in the video.

Nicely shot, good story. I really liked the piece. At first I thought that you might not be able to get a story from her, but she opened up towards the end. 2 :
