About this video

I had my actor cut the carrots using Rosenbaum's 5 shot technique. I hope it is passable as a first lesson.

Hi Lostboy, this is great for your first effort. The fact that you have followed this technique almost to the letter shows me that you must be new to video. Also the fact that you used this technique I believe that your videos will only improve with practice and experience. I will only comment on this scene alone and point out one ore two things that may help. The very first thing I notice is the poor lighting, built in cam light which has a blueish tint and then the yellowish kitchen light with a blue tint on the actors face. I suggest using the kitchen lighting only adding extra lights that match if possible or better still, shoot during the day letting as much natural light in and maybe switching on the lights if necessary. Also the lights growing out of the actors head is distracting, so maybe the angle of your shots is important here. I understand that Michael's lesson was not about lighting but I would like point out how important it is. Good Luck and happy filming! 1 : Helpful Not Helpful

First and foremost thanx for taking the time to even watch it. I see in retrospect that you have a point. However this is a first assignment piece and the lesson was very specific on what was asked. After watfching the lesson again I see that I could have took in a few different directions even within the lesson. Helpful Not Helpful
