About this video

Ty is a co-owner and instructor of Eagle Paragliding in Santa Barbara, CA. He's a really cool guy and very nice to have helped me in this video since it was the first one I ever made during my Travel Channel Academy course. Paragliding is fun!

It is amazing how much the tight shots visually add to the story. I first started jumping off cliffs in Rio de Janiero by hang gliding from mere 3,000 foot cliffs. Next, I discovered parasailing by jumping off a 6,000 foot cliff in Turkey. Now, I'm addicted to jumping out of airplanes every time I go to Cabo. The greatest jump of all has been my commitment to digital video production. I enjoyed your video, and it is apparent that you attended the Travel Channel Academy. Helpful Not Helpful

Hey Luis, nice job. The sequence shooting works really well and you found a good character. The audio is always going to be tough when you're up high on a windy day. Try to keep the wind against your back and use your body as a shield to stop the wind blowing over your mic. Do you have a wind cover on your shot-gun mic. Also have you seen the new helmet cams that just came out? That would be perfect for those aerial shots and they're pretty cheap to buy or you can rent "lipstick" cameras very cheaply too. 1 : Helpful Not Helpful

Thanks for the comment Alex. This was my TCA vid so the assignment was to keep it short, but you are right, I would have loved to include some POV shots while flying. Unfortunately my audio is bad, so his story gets lost... still fine-tuning my skills! Helpful Not Helpful

Is there a reason why you kept this video so short? I felt like I wanted to learn more about him. it would have been cool if you could have mixed in some aerial shots as well....but maybe that's nitpicking. 1 : Helpful Not Helpful
